I have recently installed Asterisk 1.4.23 on Debian Lenny… I’m sure there are lot of people looking for article in regards to Asterisk and Debian… here is a good one:<\/p>\n

everything is explained pretty good there… There is also script designed that will kind of do A to Z to you… however, you need to pay attention to the script as some steps might fail…<\/p>\n
The only issue that I had with the script was that Linux Kernel didn’t compile correctly and I had to re-do and the recompile Asterisk\/Dahdi and Freepbx<\/p>\n
ah, Dahdi, for the longest time I have been working with Asterisk 1.2 and wasn’t aware of the change from Zaptel to Dahdi… commands are different and config files also renamed and moved… so be careful there… it’s simple though<\/p>\n
